Keep our earth clean!

We are teaching our kids the importance of a clean planet. So we have been collecting pop cans from alongside the road. (We live about 25 miles from town, so there's plenty of road!) The kids love it because we take them to be recycled, and they get money. Not alot, but enough. For the six bags of cans pictured, we got $11.70, enough for each of them to get a few dollars. It doesn't seem like much, but they're getting the point. Now when we see garbage along the road, they make a comment about "how rude that is" or "why do people do that."

We went to Colorado, and found the cutest bags to save on plastic grocery sacks. For $30 you get two sacks and a stuff sac. They are seriously so cute! I would connect you direct with her link, but her website is down. We are selling them for a fundraiser for our PTA. They are so cute! It is so fun to go to the grocery store, and know that we are saving the earth. The adverage American uses some 552 bags/year. Wow - not me anymore!
