It's been 6 1/2 years since I made cakes for my sister's wedding...and even longer since I took the Wilton Cake Decorating Class. So when I was asked to do a cake for this birthday party, I was excited and nervous. But I dug out the ol' class manual, and before long I was having a blast making flowers. I have to admit, it turned out much better than I thought it would, although not as good as I pictured. Isn't that the way it always goes?! But cake decorating is FUN!

Wow! You did a great job. It is fun, but sometimes I think the mess you have after decorating a cake isn't worth it.
